Raakhi K. Kapur is currently a Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering in the Creative Entertainment Department. She previously was the co-founder and artistic director of South Asian Arts Society, a Canadian not-for-profit company. Having started out at a performer, Raakhi has performed and choreographed in both Indian classical and folk styles. Her traditional experience extends from Bharatanatyam and Kathak to Garba and her favorite dance form, Bhangra. She has worked with technology using wireless sensors to control sound, live projection mapping, and robotic control. Raakhi is also a Producer of Indian theater, dance and music and has written her own plays, most successful being Bollywood Wedding, showcased in Vancouver in 2009. Raakhi also directed a large scale dance performance for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Raakhi completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Theater Management at the California Institute of the Arts. Raakhi is the lead Producer and Choreographer for KarmetiK.
