Lead by Dr. Ajay Kapur, KarmetiK Labs consists of a small group of interdisciplinary researchers who work between the boundaries of art and technology. Members of the lab work to enable the execution of recent emergent techniques for modern creative, artistic expression, with activity spanning the domains of human computer interaction, multimedia signal processing, experimental music instruments, and interactive electro-mechanical systems (more specifically, musical robotics).

Lab members are practicing artists and musicians, where the lab serves to foster ideas for their own personal projects, KarmetiK’s consulting clients, and the global artistic community.

The lab works on many platforms, routinely designing software for Windows, OSX, Linux, Apple’s iPhone, and Google’s Android. Lab researchers also have experience on embedded microcontrollers including Atmel AVR, Microchip PIC, and ARM.
