Stephanie Kellett

Biography

Stephanie’s works are known to employ similar techniques and materials. Oil pastel, pen and ink, and collage are consistently used for their quick application, strong line, and element of chance. Ink and oil pastel cannot be erased, and they are applied without any preliminary sketching. This bold process is what directs the work, not a pre-conceived idea about what the work should ‘look’ like. In this way, Stephanie’s process speaks of the relentless task of learning how to ‘let go’.

Having worked with The KarmetiK since 2006 creating graphics and promotional work, Stephanie continues to collaborate with artists and musicians to help develop their complete aesthetic presence.

As a visual artist, Stephanie’s work focuses on the uniqueness of her subjects, and works to articulate their respective essence. Both sensitive and candid, Stephanie’s work evokes an emotional response from the viewer, and also work to transform the ordinary into something Sacred. Through an organic and playful process, Stephanie creates bold and juicy images with an eerie edge.
